Domenic first picked up a camera when he was about six years old and stepped into sports photography at the age of 20 after seeing a need for sports photos as assistant sports editor of George Mason’s student newspaper.
“It’s become a completely different side of me that some people know about, especially a year or two back when I was applying to legal jobs, they’d be very surprised when they’d see I’m a WNBA photographer on my resume as well,” Domenic said. “And so it’s given me an escape from the very hectic and chaotic world that is the legal field. And I’m very grateful for that and being able to really just express my creativity and meet a lot of great athletes and coaches. And then getting to work with great writers and editors is something that I’ll always cherish”
Domenic also told Alex about his experience photographing the 2019 WNBA Finals.
“There are definitely some things I did during that run where I, with my experience now, would just cringe at some of the things that I did,” he said. “But those memories of seeing the team win and then raise the trophy above their heads is something that I’ll never forget. And the 2019 championship is definitely one of the standout memories that I have from photographing the WNBA.”
