Gigi and Isis then move on to discuss Isis’ participation in an all-women BIG EAST broadcast for National Girls and Women in Sports Day and the importance of getting more women — especially Black women — involved in the field. “You have to make room for others, I think, and just pull as you climb,” she said. “So I think in terms of production and getting more women in that industry is just pulling us and climbing, but also you know if someone says like, ‘Oh, well, I don’t necessarily want to be on air, but I want to help,’ like me still saying, ‘OK, cool.’ Let me connect you to a producer right now. Let me connect you to a director I know.”
