We are back with Next Level, our new WNBA podcast here at The Next, hosted by Brendon Kleen.

One episode each month will be exclusive to our paid subscribers, and today’s show is the second such episode!

In this episode, we break down the nitty-gritty of Wednesday’s web of trades that involved just about the entire WNBA with a writer who specializes in deep-dive analysis, Kevin Pelton of ESPN. Pelton spent a decade writing about the Storm for the Seattle organization itself, and has remained a WNBA analyst in addition to his duties covering the NBA for ESPN. His piece on the trade extravaganza helped me make sense of it all, so I wanted to bring him on the show to pick his brain.

In addition to analyzing each deal, we look at the big picture, including the value of the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA, the length of the Storm’s championship window, and how the league’s new CBA impacted how the offseason has unfolded the past two years.
