Monday, Nov. 29 recap: Boston Massacre

#1 South Carolina: 79-42 win over N.C. A&T. Every healthy player saw at least four minutes, and no one played more than 24; center Aliyah Boston had a 29-point, 14-rebound double-double in 21 minutes on a perfect 13-for-13 from the field (1-1 3pt.) with five offensive rebounds, two steals, three blocks, and no turnovers or fouls — both the fastest 29/14/0/2/3 game in the Her Hoop Stats era (since 2009) and the first such game without a turnover in fewer than 32 minutes; wing Zia Cooke scored eight points on 2-11 shooting (0-6 3pt.).

UAB: 67-52 win over Chattanooga. Center Zakyia Weathersby had both the second-fastest and most-efficient 28-point, 18-rebound, three-block performance of the Her Hoop Stats era, coming on 11-of-13 FG with three turnovers.

UC Riverside: Did not play its scheduled game against Santa Clara “due to COVID-19 protocols” — i.e. positive case(s) within the Highlanders program — as announced last week.
