A pair of career-high 32-point efforts from point guards leads their teams to victory
Happy hump day! Welcome to The Next’s Daily Briefing, featuring the W Roundup, daily Watch List, and Yesterday’s Recap! Day 49 of college basketball is here, and we’ve got one heck of a sicko matchup: sixth-worst-in-the-country Winthrop and seventh-worst Charleston Southern (per Her Hoop Stats) face off in a premier evening matchup that we’re not going to want to miss.

Vanderbilt: 94-42 win over Alabama State. Shot 54.8% from three on 31 attempts from deep, with a 61.9% offensive rebounding rate. Freshman point guard Iyana Moore set career-highs across the board with 32 points on 11-for-21 from the field and 9-for-11 from three, seven rebounds (four offensive), and four assists against a lone turnover in 34 minutes.
Colorado State: 81-77 win over Boise State. Point guard McKenna Hofschild scored a career-high 32 points on 9-for-19 from the field (1-2 3pt.) and 13-for-20 from the line, with four rebounds and four assists against two turnovers in 39 minutes.
Blown leads
St. Joe’s: 73-70 loss to Harvard. Had a 91.8% win expectancy with a four-point lead and 77 seconds remaining, before getting outscored 7-0 to close.
