#9 Texas, #18 Oklahoma: The Sooners beat the Longhorns 65-63. Neither team had a win expectancy above 75% until the mid-fourth quarter, with the lead changing hands 14 (fourteen!) times in the second half; Texas did not make a shot across the final 4:11. The teams combined to shoot 36.2% from the field and 27.8% from three; they combined for 27 steals, part of 51 combined turnovers; the referees called 46 fouls, though I’m fairly sure 46 fouls were not remotely committed.

Oklahoma was led by wing Madi Williams’ game-high 23 point on 8-for-15 shooting (0-1 3pt., 7-9 FT), nine rebounds, and two steals against five turnovers and four fouls in 30 minutes; combo guard Taylor Robertson notched her first career double-double with 17 points on 3-for-8 from three (1-1 from two, 6-6 FT) and 10 rebounds, plus three assists and two steals against three turnovers without sitting; point guard Kelbie Washington had 10 points on 3-for-5 FG (0-1 3pt., 4-6 FT), two assists, and three steals against three turnovers and four fouls; big Liz Scott committed four fouls in 10 minutes while going just 1-for-1 from the field, but those two points were the game-winner.

Point guard Rori Harmon led the Longhorns with her first career 15 points on 4-for-11 shooting (6-6 FT) and 11 rebounds (four offensive), plus three assists and three steals against six turnovers; center Aaliyah Moore scored a career-high 10 points on 3-for-9 from the field (0-1 3pt.) and 4-for-8 from the line with two blocks against three turnovers and four fouls in 22 minutes; off-ball guard Aliyah Matharu had 10 points on 2-for-6 from three (1-5 from two), two steals, and two blocks against four turnovers while fouling-out in 23 minutes.

#11 Baylor: 87-54 win over West Virginia. Won the first quarter 28-10. Shot 57.4% from the field and 45.0% from three while holding the Mountaineers to just 30.0% shooting and 23.1% from deep; had 23 assists on 35 buckets; drew 17 fouls. Point guard Jordan Lewis had her first career triple-double in just 30 minutes, with 10 points on 3-for-7 shooting (2-2 3pt.), 10 rebounds, and 11 assists, plus two blocks against three turnovers; center Queen Egbo led 20 points on 10-for-11 FG, eight rebounds, three steals, and three blocks against two turnovers in 27 minutes; big NaLyssa Smith notched 20 points on 9-for-11 from the field (1-1 3pt.), seven rebounds, and two assists against two turnovers and four fouls in 23 minutes; with combo guard, Sarah Andrews tallied 15 points on 6-for-8 shooting (2-3 3pt.) and four assists.

TDB Baylor 3-Point Shooting Watch: 9-for-20, 45.0% today; 133-for-372, 35.2% for the season (92nd percentile in accuracy and 72th in attempts, per Her Hoop Stats).

#13 Iowa State: 86-65 win over Texas Tech. The game was tied in the mid-second quarter before the Cyclones went on a 47-23 run. Shot 55.2% from the field and 55.6% from three; the teams combined for 36 fouls. Point guard Emily Ryan led with 20 points on 7-for-13 shooting (4-4 3pt.), three rebounds, seven assists, and two steals against two turnovers; combo guard Lexi Donarski notched 19 points on 6-for-10 FG (2-2 3pt.), four rebounds, four assists, and two blocks against two turnovers; wing Ashley Joens had 16 points on 6-for-12 from the field and 2-for-6 from three and five rebounds; backup center Beatriz Jordão tallied 11 points on 5-for-7 FG, eight rebounds (three offensive), two assists, and two blocks against two turnovers and four blocks in 22 minutes.

#25 Kansas State: 63-54 win over TCU. The Horned Frogs, owners of the Big 12’s worst net rating, to draw within two in the mid-fourth quarter. Make of that what you will. Were outshot from the field by 5.9%, but had six more offensive boards and drew 21 fouls; assisted on 16 of its 20 buckets; the team each notched 10 steals, with TCU committing 20 turnovers. Center Ayoka Lee led with a game-high 21 points on 8-for-18 FG and seven rebounds (five offensive); off-ball guard Brylee Glenn — the composite No. 92 freshman^{^} in the country — had 12 points on 2-for-4 from three (0-5 from two, 6-6 FT), three rebounds, and two steals against two turnovers; off-ball Jaelyn Glenn — yes, they’re twins — notched 11 points on 3-for-7 from three (0-2 from two), two assists, three steals, and two turnovers.

RV FGCU: 98-66 win over Bellarmine. Won the first quarter 30-17 and the third 32-9. Shot 50.0% overall; had 23 assists on 36 buckets; had 15 steals, part of 21 forced turnovers. Point guard Tishara Morehouse led with 28 points in 28 minutes on 9-for-16 from the field, 3-for-6 from three, and 7-for-9 from the line, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals against three turnovers; combo guard Kerstie Phills notched her first double-double as an Eagle with 19 points on 7-for-10 shooting (1-3 3pt.) and 10 rebounds (five offensive), plus five steals without a turnover; off-ball guard Kendall Spray had 14 points in 15 bench minutes on 4-for-9 from three (1-1 from two) with no turnovers.

SFA: 79-62 win over Cal Baptist in a battle of teams that went undefeated in conference play last year. With the Jacks moving from the Southland to the WAC this year, this was effectively the WAC regular-season championship game — and it’s safe to say they rose to the occasion.

Mississippi Valley State: 75-63 loss to Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Point guard Ronni Williams recorded her first career triple-double with 18 points (5-12 FG, 1-3 3pt., 7-9 FT), 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, plus four steals against six turnovers while playing all 40.

USC Upstate: 81-62 win over Campbell, the Big South’s preseason No. 10 upsetting the preseason runner-up. Combo guard Chellia Watson scored a career-high 32 points on 11-for-19 from the field and 5-for-7 from three with four rebounds, five assists, and three steals against three turnovers while playing the whole game.

Miami (OH): 80-69 loss to Eastern Michigan. Point guard Peyton Scott scored a season-high 32 points on 13-for-22 from the field and 3-for-7 from three with 10 rebounds for a double-double, plus three assists against five turnovers.

Santa Clara: 75-64 win over Pacific. Combo guard Lindsey VanAllen tied the career-high she set exactly one week prior with 32 points on 10-for-19 from the field, 2-for-6 from three, and 10-for-12 from the line, six rebounds, three assists, and four steals against three turnovers.
