Emma Chardon, a versatile 6’2 wing, is joining Brenda Frese’s 2021 recruiting class, a source familiar with her decision tell The Next.
Chardon was the centerpiece of Switzerland’s U16 team back in the 2018 European Championships, scoring 20+ points four times, including 30 against Kosovo.
She went on to similarly dominate the U18 European championships in 2019.
She joins Shyanne Sellers, a 6’ athletic guard and the 44th overall player in the 2021 class per ESPN, as part of reinforcements for a young Maryland team that is scheduled to feature, come 2021, emerging stars like Diamond Miller and Ashley Owusu.
