Ice combines her broadcasting career with a passion for mentoring young athletes transitioning into media roles. Having played basketball professionally overseas in countries like Germany, Greece and Australia, Young saw the need for media training for athletes early in her career.

“I wanted to teach athletes how to build their brand, handle interviews and be themselves on camera,” she shared on the podcast.

Later in the podcast, Ice and Howard dive into the exciting matchup on Thursday evening between Notre Dame and UConn, noting standout players like Sarah Strong and Kaitlyn Chen for UConn and the strength of Notre Dame’s backcourt, especially Olivia Miles and Hannah Hidalgo.
