Howard and Mitchell talk about Wake Forest decision to move on from Jen Hoover:
“So Wake Forest fired Jen Hoover the women’s basketball coach on May 11th. And yeah, the immediate reaction I think from you, for me, from everyone I talked to was one of befuddlement, bewilderment. It was weird. It was strange. You know, Jen Hoover is not only a Wake Forest alum. But she’s one of the best Demon Deacon players ever, they made the NCAA tournament with her in 1988.”

Mitchell has more on Wake Forest and what the new hire means to the program:
“Yeah, I think for the new coach, of course, is Megan Gebbia from American University, I think for her to be successful, or for her to have a chance of being successful they sort of have to make amends in some of those areas. Like you said, Wake Forest is not an easy place to win at. It’s not an easy place to recruit to, despite it being an ACC school. You know, admission standards are high, the facilities are okay, but they’re not great.”
