Heidrick and Walter open the show by talking about the teams that have already advanced to the Sweet 16., starting with UCLA. “I mean, credit to Richmond, right?” says Walter. “Richmond was tied with UCLA at the half last night … they came in ready.” Although the Spiders ultimately fell to the Bears, Walter gives credit to Richmond players like Maggie Doogan who handed a tremendous challenge to the formidable UCLA.
Later on, Heidrick and Walter discuss Mississippi’s Sweet 16 berth. “Playing Ole Miss is like trying to find your way out of a brick house,” Walter says. “It’s hard, it’s physical, and it hurts. … Defensively, they are going to make you work every possession on offense, and that’s what makes them so good.”
