The show opens with a question from The Next’s Jackie Powell at the Wednesday press conference. Powell asked Miller what values he sees in incoming point guard Ty Harris. “I just know the character of her and her family, and what she stands for,” says Miller. “And the never-too-high, never-too-low play on the court really resonated with us … there was just so much [from her] that we needed.”

Later on, Megdal talks about the messages he thinks Miller is trying to send Bueckers, who is expected to go No. 1 in the WNBA Draft. “By virtue of the circumstances, [Bueckers] has so many other options … is she going to want to sign in Dallas?” Megdal questions. And he believes that Bueckers has not made a decision, because, as Megdal points out, otherwise “Miller would not be sending messages to Paige on introductory Zooms for four other players.”
Megdal closes out the show by featuring a question he asked forward Myisha Hines-Allen about what she’s seen of forward NaLyssa Smith‘s game. “I mean, there’s always room to improve,” Hines-Allen said. “But to see her growth … I’m super excited to be teamed up with her again.”
