Megdal opens the show by asking Plitzuweit about any unexpected element of success she has seen so far. “I would say the part that’s exciting is about the state of Minnesota is how excited people are for women’s basketball. We saw that this year, obviously, with the Lynx… and to be a part of that is something that’s really exciting for us.”

Later on, Megdal and Plitzuweit talk about the development of Gophers’ star Mara Braun. “Mara Braun is really special,” Plitzuweit says. “She impacts the game in so many different ways. I think where she’s really grown is in her physical strength, and with that is able to turn a corner through some more contact and make some plays that way.”
Megdal wraps up the show by asking Plitzuweit about one thing she’s hoping to see this season. “Probably the biggest thing we have to figure out,” Plitzuweit says, “is — how do we score more efficiently? It takes a lot to develop that side of the ball.”
