Just last week, Missy discussed how Baylor was becoming the team to beat, while Kansas wasn’t “living up to their expectations” for this season. Kansas not only turned it around and beat Baylor, 87 to 66, but then continued their stride with another win over the weekend against Oklahoma State, 70-64. While the Jayhawks “have bounced back a little bit,” Missy contends, Baylor “has to get out of this funk – they have to find a way.”
Missy goes on to recap the big headlines in conference play, highlighting newsworthy stories from the Big 12, ACC, and Pac-12. But she then shifts focus to perhaps the biggest news coming out of college hoops right now – Auburn’s upset of #7 LSU, 67-62. “Hats off to this Auburn squad,” reacts Missy. “They were ready, and had themselves a huge win at home.” Missy also describes the shakeup that has been handed to the top 25, with South Carolina remaining the only undefeated team in the nation. “It’s going to be so competitive down the stretch,” Missy offers, “and could we have asked for anything better? ”
