As the Patriot League prepares to turn the page to conference play, Patriot League beat writer at The Next Todd Goclowski joins host Natalie Heavren to discuss what’s happened so far this season, what to expect in conference play, who to watch and more. The pair also discuss newcomers to the conference including Navy’s electric freshman Zanai Barnett-Gay as well as why the Patriot League doesn’t have a favorite to win it all heading into league play.

Todd discusses the impact that Patriot League transfers are having on their new programs, highlighting the depth of talent in the conference.

“There are great players in the Patriot League and you can see from the number of players that have moved on as grad transfers and making an impact in the Power Five leagues. [Lehigh transfer] Frannie Hottinger starts for Marquette. They’re undefeated and she’s almost averaging a double-double.”

“The story of the league so far is that it’s in a little bit of flux; and that as we head into conference play, I think anything can happen in the league for sure,” Todd said on the podcast.
