Heavren and Horstman start out the show by recapping the results of Game 1. “I think Game 1 was kind of exactly what we were expecting between these two teams,” Horstman says. He points out how close the results were in all their regular season games. “So to see … Connecticut just kind of outlasting Minnesota at the end of a, you know, rough-and-tumble fourth quarter was kind of what I think was on everyone’s bingo card.”

Later on, Heavren and Horstman discuss why the Lynx’s shooting was off in Game 1. “I think first and foremost, it’s shots not falling,” Horstman says. “They just weren’t finding the bottom of the net.” However, this does not ring alarm bells for Horstman. “I don’t think the game plan needs to be thrown out,” he says. “They were getting a lot of good shots.”

Heavren wraps up the show by asking Horstman what fans can expect from the atmosphere in Game 2. “I’m still hearing ringing in my ears,” Horstman says, referencing the environment from Game 1. “But the challenge, I’m assuming, to Lynx fans, is to make my ears ring a little bit more. I think they’ll be ready for game two.”
